  • Family members of third-country nationals legally residing in Luxembourg have unrestricted access to the job market and do not require work permits.


    A third-country national who wishes to come to Luxembourg for a period of more than 3 months for reasons of family reunification with another third-country national must apply for the corresponding residence permit.   • All European Union (EU) citizens, as well as their family members enjoy freedom of movement within the EU, giving them the right to work and reside in any EU Member State, subject to certain conditions.

    Luxembourg has three official languages, French, German and Luxembourgish. In addition, English is very commonly used in specific sectors, especially in the finance, IT and technical jobs and mainly in the very qualified positions.

    Applications for a job that is not included in the list of occupation in very high demand will not be considered.
